Chimpnest Safari Lodge located on the edges of the Kibale Forest National Park; the world’s primate capital

Chimpnest Safari Lodge offers luxury accommodation on the edges of the forest with an African touch of hospitality with over 10 luxury cottages with all equipped with private bathrooms with and indoor and outdoor shower and private balcony.

We are your bridge to chimpanzee tracking, birdwatching, cycling, crater hikes, community tours and village walks while sating with us at Chimpnest Safari Lodge.

About Chimpnest Safari Lodge

Chimpnest Safari Lodge is derived from the nests that have on several occasions been found in one of the fig trees/ Ficus tree around the forest on the lodge, these nests have always been made by some of the chimpanzees from one of the chimp communities that visit the forest close to the lodge.

We are located in western Uganda, in Kamwengye district in the border of Kibale forest national park, 340 kms away from Entebbe international airport (6-7 hours), 62kms from Kasese airstrip 90minutes), 138kms from Mbarara airstrip (2hrs and 30 minutes). Chimpnest Safari Lodge is located 10 minutes way from the Kibale Forest national park offices for chimp tracking and other activities in forest and 1km away from the Kamwengye-Fortportal.
